Thomas Lee "Tom" Canfield
1933 - 2018

Thomas L. Canfield Sr.,85, passed away September 13, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born May 26, 1933 in Red Oak Iowa.

Tom was a veteran, serving in the United States Army for 22 years. He proudly served his country by completing one tour in Korea and two terms in Vietnam. After his military retirement he was administrator of Chapman Valley Manor, Chapman , KS for 20 years.

He is survived by his children: Julie Canfield–Shandy, Wichita, KS, Tom (Sandy) Canfield, Abilene, KS, Joan Pierce, Colorado Springs, CO, Joe (Dian) Canfield, Colorado Springs, CO, Jim Canfield, Abilene, KS, and David (Patty) Canfield of Abilene, KS; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Tom will be remembered as a good man who accepted people unconditionally and had many dedicated friends.

Tom has requested cremation and a private family service.

Memorials may be made to Chapman Valley Manor in care of Tom and Sandy Canfield, 907 North Maple St., Abilene, KS 67410.

Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, of Junction City, Kansas, is assisting with arrangements.
