Michael C. "Mike" Warren
1976 - 2018

Michael C. Warren, 42, of Junction City, passed away on October 7, 2018 at Geary Community Hospital. Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service, 805 Caroline Ave., Junction City, Kansas, followed by a Memorial Service.

He was born on May 20, 1976, Mound Bayou, Mississippi to Michael Graham and Juanita Warren.

Mike touched every person’s life that he met and was extremely well loved. He was understanding and would always listen and be a shoulder of comfort or a jokester depending on what he thought you needed. He had a natural ability to get along with anyone and everyone, no matter what he would always find a way to connect. The love Mike had for his family was unconditional and known. He wasn’t afraid to show his love for his family or friends. If you needed something you could always call Mike for help. Even if he didn’t have it he would find a way to help you. He was always welcoming of anyone needing help. He always knew how to make people laugh. He was full of energy and life. Mike made his presence known when he entered a room because he was always full of infectious laughter and love. If he loved you he made fun of you and that’s just how it was. His presence in our hearts and his energy will never leave us because in the words of his favorite movie, Django, He was and always will be “the one in ten thousand (aka) the exceptional n****.”

He survived by his parents, Juanita and Osttis Smith; sons, Devon Warren and Javon Gorge both of Junction City; sisters, Fredia Warren, Yolanda Smith (Clifton Walker III) of Junction City and Tisha Farmer of Mississippi; brother, Anthony Smith (Lacey Charest) of Junction City; Grandmother, Paralee Warren of Rosedale, Mississippi; niece, R’ielle Smith; nephews, Tyrell McLaughlin, Kenson Henderson, Casey Charest, Kazerick Smith, Andreyus Smith, Azarion Smith, and Khaliel Walker; his love, Emily King; daughter of his heart, Leisha Gorge; and lifetime friends, Andrew Sandell and Vincent Smith.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Michael Graham.
