Dennis Dwayne Johnson, 79, of Manhattan, KS passed away on November 27, 2018 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.

He was born on February 8, 1939, in Abilene, Kansas to Frank and Dorothy (Stark) Johnson.

Dennis was a member of the Abilene Christian Church and served as an Elder and Youth Minister. He was a member of the University Christian Church of Manhattan, KS.

He married Joy Hrabe on December 20, 1958. They lived in Manhattan, KS and had two children. Dennis was an animal lover, handy man who loved to stay busy working on the property at home, a dedicated family man, and adoring husband who was very thankful for his wife, Joy.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Joy, of the home; daughter, Judy (Bob) Parsons; son, David (Keiko) Johnson; grandsons, Eli and Levi (Katelyn) Gantenbein, and Donny Johnson; granddaughter, Claire Johnson; and great-granddaughter, Emma.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family gathering is scheduled for a later date.
