George I. MacLaird, 87, of White City, KS, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Valley View Senior Life Center in Junction City, KS. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd, Manhattan, KS 66503, with military honors.

George was born on April 12, 1932, Junction City, Kansas to Kenneth and Dorothy (Irvine) MacLaird.

George served in the United States Air Force and the United States Navy. After his military service, he worked many years for a cable television company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tinkering with fixing things. He was a member of American Legion, VFW and Disabled American Veterans.

George is survived by three brothers, Gordon MacLaird of White City, KS, Tommy MacLaird of Manhattan, KS and Lavern MacLaird of San Diego, CA; nephews, Steven, Phillip, Patrick and Perry; numerous other nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth Allen MacLaird, Jr.

Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
