Visitation will be held 10:00 am, Friday, October 5, 2018 followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am, at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service, 805 Caroline Ave. Junction City, KS 66441 with Fr. Kyle Berens officiating. After the service, burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Junction City.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Xavier Catholic Church, 218 North Washington, Junction City, KS 66441.
He was born on July 6, 1932, Junction City, Kansas to Bennie and Della (Karmann) Fiest. Loren graduated from Junction City High School in 1951. In March of 1953 he enlisted in the US Army and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in March of 1955. On June 2, 1973 he married Daisy P. Lutz in Junction City. Loren was a lifetime resident of Junction City. He worked 27 years as a Warehouse Manager for Civil Service at Ft. Riley.
Loren was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus #1029, Eagles #830, and 207-Ogden American Legion.
Loren is survived by his Step-Son, James (Linda) Lutz of Barstow, CA; Grandsons, Michael Lutz and Kenneth Lutz of CA; Great Grandsons, Jay Lutz of TX and Mathew Lutz of CA; Great-Great Grandson, Benjamin Lutz of CA; Brother, Eldon Dean Fiest; Sister, Sandra Eileen Loos; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Daisy Fiest, Father, Bennie Franklin Fiest, Mother, Della E. Fiest, and Brothers, Dewayne Robert Fiest, Louis Eugene Fiest, and Edward K. Fiest; Sister, Lorena J. Raymond; and Step-Son, Bruce Lutz.
